Virtual Nimrin: A Virtual Archaeological Site

"Tell Nimrin (TN) is an archaeological town site at Shuna South, Jordan, north of the Dead Sea and in the Jordan Valley. With permission of the Department of Antiquities of the Royal Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (DoA), excavations were conducted during the summers of 1989, 1990, 1993, and 1995. Licensing and other supports were provided by the Directors General, including Drs. Adnan Hadidi, Safwan Tell, and Ghazi Bisheh. Mr. Sa''ad Hadidi, DoA Director of the Salt District, served as the Departmental Representative each season. Project co-directors were James W. Flanagan (Case Western Reserve University), David W. McCreery (Willamette University), and, after 1989, Khair N. Yassine (University of Jordan). This website, Virtual Nimrin (VN) presents findings of the TN Project. It includes electronic versions of field books, selected photos, and publishable drawings, as well as a comprehensive collection of reports, including materials that have been published in hardcopy elsewhere. Two tours serve both as an introduction to the TN project and a guide to VN..."
