Fayum Villages

"The main goal of the Fayum Project is a reconstruction of the occupation history of an Egyptian nome during the Greco-Roman period, based on Greek and Demotic papyri, inscriptions and archaeological remains. Special attention goes to the administrative development of the Fayum area, the typology of inhabited centres and the composition of a multicultural population."
