"Archaeos was founded in June 1999 as a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to the advancement of archaeological research and education...Archaeos'' mission is to aid and advance archaeological research in the face of the increased destruction of archeological remains throughout the world. The devastation of such relics threatens our very ability to understand the origins of civilization. The situation is dire: scholars estimate that as little as fifty years remain for us to recover the remaining evidence of humanity''s past."
