"The Department of Classical, Near and Far Eastern and Religious Studies (formerly the Department of Semitics) of the University of South Africa, hereby cordially invite Assyriologists, Near Eastern archaeologists and scholars in related fields of study to convene for the 50th Rencontre Assyriologique Internationale, in South Africa, in 2004. In accordance with the theme, this auspicious gathering will be hosted in the thematically appropriate setting of Skukuza, from 2-6 August 2004."
