Appian of Alexandria

"Appian of Alexandria (c.95-c.165): one of the most underestimated of all Greek historians, author of a Roman History. in twenty-four books. Only a few of these survive, but the remainder is known from Byzantine excerpts and fragments. The table shows what is available and contains links to Horace White''s translation. Yellow means that the book survives in its entirety or to a very large extent; pink indicates a fragmentary survival.
