"Created in 2006, our centre is the first and only Egyptology institution in Armenia.The centre specializes on the plants and products of Ancient Egypt in view of its director - Dr. C. Tutundjian de Vartavan – past achievements in this area.It also includes a research program concerning the contribution of the ancient Egyptian civilization to the Church and culture of Armenia, directed by Dr. N. Garibian, Vice-Director of the Centre and Head of Comparative Studies."
